The mission of the Medical Development Group’s (MDG) - Medical Software SIG is to provide an opportunity for personal growth and exchange of ideas with other software professionals, and to facilitate relationships and business development opportunities in medical software by providing public forums and venues on a periodic basis throughout the year.

The Medical Software Special Interest Group is a community of software professionals committed to product quality and process excellence in the development, testing, and maintenance of software that is utilized in medical devices as well as the healthcare industry in general. Additionally, business operations such as procurement, outsourcing, and project management as they relate to medial software are included within this charter. The goal is to create a community of specialized professionals within the MDG umbrella that is a resource and asset to all involved.
